The packaging test

A deodorant is listed as eco-friendly only when its maker documents plastic-free, refillable or compostable packaging, or a recognised environmental certification. The basis is written in each product's highlights.

Sources

Each page uses the maker's product page plus at least one further source we actually opened, and shows the date checked. Prices are snapshots from that date, not promises.

Ratings

We do not publish scores that have not been earned. Which products are listed: the products here are some of the most well-known brands, plus a few smaller makers, that we could document. That is not a ranking. Products our editor has tested hands-on get an Editor's Choice call-out and are listed as the Best; no product carries that label until it has been tested. We do not accept payment for placement, and the facts on each product page come from the maker's own page and at least one other source.
